At Mareeba Junior Rugby League (MJRL), we strongly believe in fostering a love for football and building character through teamwork and dedication. Our experienced coaches are committed to helping athletes develop their skills and reach their full potential.  With a growing community of 1.7k Facebook followers, our program has gained recognition for its emphasis on player development and creating a positive and supportive environment for young players.

One of our proudest achievements is seeing three of our players go on to sign with national teams.  This not only showcases the talent and potential of our athletes but also reflects the dedication and hard work they have put into their training.  It is a testament to our coaching staff’s ability to nurture talent and provide the necessary guidance to help players excel in their football journey.

At MJRL, our teams range from under 6 to under 17, catering to young boys and girls who are just starting their football journey.  We believe in instilling a love for the sport at a young age, as this sets the foundation for continued growth and passion. Our focus is not only on developing technical skills but also on building character traits such as leadership, teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

Through a combination of carefully designed training sessions and opportunities for friendly competitions, our players learn the value of teamwork, learn how to overcome challenges, and develop crucial life skills that extend beyond the football field.  We understand the significance of a supportive community and actively foster a sense of camaraderie amongst our teams, creating an environment where players feel motivated, encouraged, and supported.

 

As our program continues to grow, we are excited to see more young athletes benefit from our coaching expertise and experience the joy and personal growth that football offers.  MJRL is not just about producing talented players but about shaping well-rounded individuals who can make a positive impact both on and off the field.
